Collecting you at first light, we visit two bird hides — Rondevlei and Langvlei — to view a variety of waterbirds in the Wilderness National Park. From white-breasted and Cape cormorants, red-knobbed coots and purple herons to fish eagles and many others, the area is a haven for bird enthusiasts.

We then visit Gericke's Point, enjoying an easy 4 km walk along the beach to the point and its rock pools, where a variety of seabirds can be seen, including Cape gannets, African oystercatchers, swift terns, kelp gulls, stilts and others.

Tide dependent, otherwise we visit the Touws River estuary, a resting area for an array of seabirds.
