Collecting you from your accommodation, we drive through temperate rainforest past George and over the picturesque Outeniqua Pass (800 m above sea level), descending through hop fields into the contrasting Klein Karoo desert to the quaint village of Calitzdorp.

​

Here we visit three boutique wine estates for tastings of their signature port-style (fortified), white, red, rosé, and dessert wines at Calitzdorp Cellar, De Krans Wines, and Things Take Time (TTT) Winery.

​

Enjoy a delicious lunch from their Mediterranean-inspired menu with a unique South African twist, complemented by the genuine, personal hospitality for which the Karoo desert is renowned.

The drive back to your accommodation inspires quiet reflection as the mountains glow in the colours of the setting sun.
